1. Hai Phong Port launches tender for quay cranes:

• On May 7, 2025, Hai Phong Port issued a bidding invitation for the procurement of 2 STS quay cranes, valued at VND 150 billion (~USD 5.9 million).
• Bidders must have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing and installing port machinery. Submissions due by June 3, 2025.

2. Container scanner system contract awarded at Cat Lai Port:

• A joint venture between Tan Phu Infrastructure Co., Ltd. and GE (USA) won the bid with a contract value of VND 87 billion (~USD 3.4 million).
• The installation and trial operation are scheduled to begin in late August 2025.

3. E-bidding policy adopted at Quy Nhon Port:

• From May 2025 onward, Quy Nhon Port mandates all tenders over VND 5 billion (~USD 200,000) to be conducted via online bidding platforms.
• The change is intended to enhance transparency and streamline submission procedures.
